Beautiful Prints - Buggy Software
I've owned and have been using this printer for almost two years, and it is my primary printer for photography business, and I use it several times a week.
In the past I have owned Epson 2200, 4400, 9890, and P900 printers.  The P20000 is indeed a very fast printer, and produces beautiful prints for which I can only praise its image quality.  I do have several complaints, which include the following:
1. very buggy software, which on at least 5 occasions has required me to unplug the printer from the wall as the only way to turn the machine off.  Not the sort of thing you want to be doing with a $12,000 printer.
2. Why in the world does the fan which cools the printers internal CPU, NEVER shut off?  When I called Epson's technical service (professional), they simply confirmed that yes, this is the case, and reassured me, that the cooling fan didn't use any significant amount of electricity.  Yes, I would imagine it doesn't, but the fan isn't user  replaceable, and would therefore cost about $2500.00 to have an Epson authorized technician come out and replace it.  How long will the fan last running 24/7?
NOTE:  I've had very reliable service from all of my previous Epson printers, and especially so with the 9890, but this is the first printer whose cooling fan never shuts off.  I am of the school of thought, that it is perhaps best to not turn the printer off at days end, and let it enter its sleep mode.  I'm not sure if this is the best practice, but it seems to have served me well with prior printers.

We LOVE this printer!
Beautiful prints and easy to use.  Great combination!
