LexJet Light Block Polyester (12 Mil) is a matte-finished, tear-resistant polyester film that can be used to produce photo-intense, rollable graphics for trade-show, POP, or retail displays, including graphics displayed in banner stands. The coating on the matte surface is designed to produce brilliantly colored, sharply defined images while minimizing glare.
The 100% opaque, light-blocking gray layer ensures that ambient light shining from behind a display stand won’t interfere with the beauty or readability of the graphics. With a thickness of 12 mil, LexJet Light Block Polyester film is thin enough for use in a roll-up display, but sufficiently rigid and curl-resistant to stay flat when unrolled. The film is also water- and scratch-resistant so no lamination is required. Just print, trim, and ship.
LexJet Light Block Polyester (12 Mil) is designed for use with solvent and low-solvent inks.

Printer/Ink Compatibility | Compatible all inkjet printers using eco solvent, solvent, Latex and UV-curable ink. |
Software Settings | Printer settings will vary between printer manufacturers. Recommended heater settings for pre-heat and post-heat of 40-50° C have been found as a good place to start. For the best and most consistent results, a profile should be created using an external color calibrator in conjunction with your RIP and color matching software. To optimize print quality, 720 dpi will offer best results. |
Life Expectancy | Outdoor- 12 Months; Indoor- 36 Months |
Finishing/Post Processing | This film does not require lamination. However, using a pressure-sensitive laminate in the LexJet Elite laminate line can be applied to increase the life expectancy and abrasion resistance of the image. Before applying the laminate, allow the ink to dry for a minimum of 24 hours to ensure the solvents are gone from the print. Failure to do so may facilitate solvent penetration which may cause color shift and affect the bond strength of the laminate adhesive. |
Light Fastness | The fading time of inkjet ink is a direct result of the inks that you choose to use and the environment where the print is displayed. Image longevity will be influenced by lighting source & temperature. Lamination is recommended when an image will be exposed to repeated moisture or physical handling or when prolonged product life (+1 year) is needed. |
Optimal Print Environment | 50-86° F (10-30° C), 70% R.H |
Shipping Instructions | Always roll graphics with the thinnest material facing out. When both materials are the same thickness, always roll them in the same way every time. LexJet recommends rolling the graphic with a minimum 12 inch diameter. |
Ideal Storage Conditions | 70° F (21° C), 50% R.H. (a controlled environment is recommended); store vertically in original packaging. |
Shelf Life | 1 year from the LexJet ship date when stored in proper conditions. |
