With LexJet TOUGHcoat™ Synthetic Banner, you can use an aqueous inkjet printer to produce durable, high-impact banners that incorporate all 3 Rs of sustainability: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This thin (11 mil), lightweight (145g), tough substrate uses substantially fewer resources to manufacture and ship. But because the durability of this material is comparable to scrim banner material, graphics printed on LexJet TOUGHcoat Synthetic Banner can be reused at multiple events and trade shows.
LexJet TOUGHcoat™ Synthetic Banner is

Imaging Side | Material is packaged with printable side facing up. Printable surface can be identified by a slight tackiness. |
Software Settings | The coating on this product is engineered for better than 400% ink coverage. To optimize print quality, the printer mode should be set to best and media selection should be set on Heavyweight Coated Paper up to 1440 dpi. However, we recommend a custom ICC profile for optimal results. Please refer to www.lexjet.com for an ICC profile for some printers. |
Finishing/Post Processing | Pressure-sensitive vinyl laminates like LexJet's Elite UV Vinyl Laminate can be applied to increase the fade and abrasion resistance of the image. Before applying the laminate, allow the image to dry for 24 hours. |
Fastening | Tyvek™ can be sewn, grommeted, or hemmed with LexJet Heavy Duty Banner Tape. Grommets should be placed in the hemline along the length of the banner so that the grommet is through two layers. Corner grommets should be placed where the length and width hems cross, so that the grommet is through four layers. A reinforced corner is also recommended to increase durability. |
Light Fastness | The fading time of inkjet ink is a direct result of the inks that you choose to use and the environment where the print is displayed. Contact the ink manufacturer for light-fastness data. |
Optimal Service Environment | For printing: 60° - 80° F, 50% Relative Humidity. |
Handling Recommendations | Due to the absorptive nature of the coating, you should avoid touching the coated surface. It's always recommended that cotton gloves be used when handling inkjet coated materials. Rolls of LexJet film are supplied with the coated side facing out. |
