LexJet Elite Opaque Coex Backer 10 Mil is a white, copolymer plastic film with an optically clear high-performance, permanent, pressure-sensitive adhesive with PreLume® technology. It can instantly make graphics printed in reverse on a clear film look brighter and whiter, because the patented PreLume® technology offsets some of the yellow and gray color shifts that occurs when inkjet printing in reverse on clear films.

The solvent-based, acrylic adhesive is acid-free, and pH neutral and can be used over and over without yellowing or fading.

When LexJet Elite Opaque Coex Backer 10 Mil is applied to the back of graphics printed on LexJet Clear PreLume® HD, a LexJet Lifetime Warranty guarantees that the graphics will not split, tear, or delaminate regardless of how many times the graphics are shipped, unpacked, installed, repacked, and shipped again.

LexJet Elite Opaque Coex Backer 10 Mil is ideal for Pop-up booth graphics that are applied to fabric panels.

LexJet Elite Opaque Coex Backer 10 Mil was previously known as LexJet 10 Mil Coex PreLume® Opaque White Backer.

Laminator Compatibility It's recommended that your laminator be equipped with a release liner take-up reel. All LexJet laminates are provided on 3" standard cores.
Laminator Settings Apply 80-100 psi and use 2-3 feet per minute for dwell time, depending on the application. Between 90° to 100° F to help the adhesive flow, which will produce a more consistent adhesion to the print. The top and bottom web tension should be minimal to prevent curling of the graphic.
Finishing After applying the laminate, allow the panel to lay flat for a minimum of 2 hours before trimming or rolling. The adhesive fully sets in 24 hours. When possible, cut through the softer material first. For example, on a panel composed of 10 mil LexJet® and 10 mil Elite Coex Opaque Backer, cut through the backer first. Trim using a freshly sharpened blade and a straight edge on tempered glass. Do not force the blade through the material; let the blade do the work. It may take several passes to complete the cut. A perpendicular cut is very important, as a slight angle in the cut can cause edge lift, which will lead to complete delaminating. For best results, use an automatic cutting mechanism such as a Roto-Trimmer, Javelin or Neolt.
Min. Application Temp. 50° F (10° C)
Service Temp. Range -40° F to 176° F (-40° to 80° C ) THIS IS NOT A LAMINATOR SETTING.
Ideal Storage Conditions 70° F (21° C), 50% R.H. (a controlled environment is recommended); store vertically in original packaging.
Shelf Life 1 year from the LexJet ship date when stored in proper conditions.
Tip If you are experiencing curl when applying this backer and the tension on your pull rollers is minimal, reduce the heat, reduce the pressure and reduce the speed of your take-up reel.
