LexJet announced today that it has begun shipping its new line of solvent banner products. The banner products come in response to the market’s need for high quality, low priced scrim vinyl banner substrates engineered specifically for UV curable, solvent, and eco-solvent printer technologies. These banner products represent a new level of product quality consistency and a new price point for users of these technologies.

“Our customers were getting frustrated with the inconsistent quality of the market’s banner offering. Unpredictable print quality was constantly interrupting production causing numerous re-prints and diminishing profits,” stated Camillia Mankovich, LexJet’s marketing director. “LexJet invested eighteen months developing this banner product line that eliminates these costly production re-prints and, at the same time, lowers the professional print providers cost of ownership,” Mankovich continued. “The feedback from 6 months of field testing confirms that we have a solution that meets the demands of these and other users faced with the tribulations of printing directly to uncoated vinyl substrates,” Mankovich added.

The new LexJet Solvent Banner Line includes: 11 oz Gloss and Matte Banner, 13 oz Gloss and Matte Banner, 15 oz Premium Gloss and Matte Banner, 13 oz Super Smooth Blockout Banner, and a 9 oz Premium Mesh Banner w/ Liner. “The chemical components in printable PVC are complicated,” stated Jeff Leto, LexJet’s director of product management. “One of the major contributors to inconsistent image quality is the plasticizer used in the creation of flexible PVC – both the type and amount used,” Leto continued. “We engineered this product line specifically for solvent, UV curable and eco-solvent printing technologies, which provides the customer a precise and reliable set of materials to be used in the creation of banners,” he continued. “Our goals in developing this line were to eliminate the problems associated with banner production and reduce the cost of raw materials to the end user and we have exceeded these goals,” Leto added.
