Following months of testing and component selection, LexJet announced today that LexJet and DuPont iTechnologies have co-authored a series of sophisticated testing procedures and requirements which will embody the LexJet Standards Program for Color Digital Output. This set of standards will insure that LexJet will be able to supply professional digital photographers and digital image creators with tested product solutions that will meet the exacting standards and expectations they require when producing digital color output.

"We have been working on the Standards Program with DuPont for months waiting for the coating, printing and ink technologies to develop to a point where we were comfortable presenting a program to the professional digital photographers and digital image creator communities," stated Art Lambert, Vice-president and Co-founder of the LexJet Corporation. "Significant advancements have now been made in these core technologies and the ability to independently evaluate and verify the output of a digital image is now at hand," Lambert continued.

The LexJet Standards Program for Color Digital Output is a program that establishes testing criteria co-authored by LexJet and DuPont iTechnologies in conjunction with tests conducted by the Rochester Institute of Technology Research Corporation and Wilhelm Research. Rochester Institute of Technology Research Corporation is responsible for image quality evaluation testing and Wilhelm Research will be conducting light stability and image permanence test.

"The creation of independently validated tests for digital color output is a major milestone for the burgeoning digital photographic community," states Ron Simkins, President of the LexJet Corporation. "The ability to set the expectations of digital photographers and offer them a series of product solutions which have been tested by some of the finest facilities in the world will create a market condition which will eliminate confusion and promote excellence in the new technology," he commented. "The collaboration between LexJet, DuPont iTechnologies and other contributors from around the world and the results of that collaboration will make the LexJet Standards Program for Color Digital Output a keystone in the digital photographic community,” Simkins said.
