LexJet 5 Mil Display Film is a bright-white, high-gloss DuPont Melinex® polyester film with an instant-dry, microporous coating that makes it ideal for producing higher volumes of graphics for pop-up and retractable displays on an assortment of different makes and models of aqueous inkjet printers.

The film is compatible with dye and pigment inks on printers that use thermal or piezo printheads.

LexJet 5 Mil Gloss Display Film works well with many pressure-sensitive laminating films, but lamination isn’t required if the graphics are for short-term use. An extra-white graphics surface can be achieved when a PreLume® laminating film is applied.

Software Settings To optimize print quality, printers should be set on the highest print quality, and media selection should be Heavy Weight Coated. However, for the most consistent results, we recommend a custom ICC profile for optimal results. Please refer to www.lexjet.com for starting-point ICC profiles for some printers.
Light Fastness The fading time of inkjet ink is a direct result of the inks that you choose to use and the environment where the print is displayed. Contact the ink manufacturer for light fastness data.
Finishing/Post Processing It is always recommended that a protective laminate be applied after printing. Always use pressure sensitive laminates (LexJet Elite UV, Elite Coex, or Elite Polycarbonate laminates are suggested). Hand applying laminates is not recommended. The print should dry for 24 hours before laminating. When mounting to substrates such as PVC, Acrylic, etc., a standard mounting adhesive is appropriate.
Optimal Print Environment For Printing: 59° - 86° F, 30-70% Relative Humidity
Handling Recommendations Due to the absorptive nature of the coating, you should avoid touching the coated surface of the film. It is always recommended that cotton gloves be used when handling inkjet coated materials. Rolls of LexJet film are supplied with the coated side facing out.
Ideal Storage Conditions 70° F (21° C), 50% R.H. (a controlled environment is recommended); store vertically in original packaging.
Shelf Life 1 year from the LexJet ship date when stored in proper conditions.
