GF 253 GraphiTex™ Opaque is a 6.0 mil matte white polyester wall fabric with a subtle woven texture. GF 253 has special coatings to enhance opacity and provide superior hiding and cover for underlying paint and graphics in wall applications. The adhesive is designed for long term use on smooth painted drywall, is repositionable to ease installation, and remains cleanly removable for up to 1 year.

The 90# tight release liner provides excellent stability for processing using solvent, latex and UV curable digital inks common to wide format digital printing systems.

FAQs
Can I use GF 253 on other surfaces? GF 253 is designed for wall murals, decals and graphics for most types of smooth painted interior walls. This includes most flat, semigloss and gloss paint finishes. The surface must be smooth and clean prior to application. If applying to new paint consult the paint manufacturer for proper drying conditions before GF 253 installation. This product is not recommended for window or backlit applications.
How does GF 253 GraphiTex™ Opaque compare to other opaque wall products on the market? GF 253 is specially designed to have the highest hiding capability without sacrificing its bright white point. Thanks to its unique backside coating and formulated print coating it boasts 99% opacity so you won’t see dark bands when overlapping panels, and your print will look great regardless of the underlying wall surface color. Furthermore, the adhesive bond to the fabric is excellent and won’t rub off like other products, so it’s more forgiving during installation and removal.
When paneling larger jobs, do I use overlaps or butt-seams with this product? Installation methods vary by both installer and project, but we consider either method to be acceptable, and the thickness and rigidity of GF 253 GraphiTex™ Opaque makes it easy to align panels. Butt seams are preferred, and you can expect little to no shrink with interior applications. If overlapping, we recommend at least ½” to 1” for overlapping panels.
