LexJet's Premium Archival Matte Paper is a smooth, neutral-white, matte paper for high-quality fine art, photo reproduction, and open-edition decor. The paper supports accurate color reproduction and high-contrast, high-resolution output, and is acid-free for a longer print life with pigment inks. It features a heavy weight (230 gsm), thick base (9.5 mil), and an instant-dry coating that resists fingerprints and smudging.

LexJet Premium Archival Matte Paper is compatible with all aqueous inkjet printers, whether they use dye or pigment inks or thermal or piezo printheads.

Compatible with all thermal and piezo inkjet printers using water-based dye and pigment-based inks.

Software Settings

The bond or uncoated paper setting in most RIPs is appropriate; however, we recommend a custom ICC profile for optimal results. Please refer to www.lexjet.com for ICC profiles for some printers.

Finishing/Post Processing

It is always recommended that a protective laminate be applied after printing. Hand applying laminate is not recommended. Pressure-sensitive or thermal laminates can be used. Before applying the laminate, allow the image to dry for 24 hours.

Light Fastness

The fading time of inkjet ink is a direct result of the inks that you choose to use and the environment where the print is displayed. Contact the ink manufacturer for light-fastness data.

Optimal Print Environment

72° F (21° C), 50% R.H For end use: 0-300° F

Handling Recommendations

Due to the absorptive nature of the coating, you should avoid touching the coated surface. It's always recommended that cotton gloves be used when handling inkjet coated materials. Rolls of LexJet film are supplied with the coated side facing out.

Ideal Storage Conditions

70° F (21° C), 50% R.H. (a controlled environment is recommended); store in original packaging.

Shelf Life

1 year from the LexJet ship date when stored in proper conditions.

We use this a on a number of projects. It handles very well on our printing equipment. Wide color gamut and imaging quality for a matte print media. High value for the price to print posters, photos and an economical solution for art prints.
