LexJet has begun shipping Sunset Air Dried Fibre Gloss. The new air-dried photographic paper responds to the market’s demand for a fibre-based gloss material typically used in traditional photographic printing.

“This is the first in a series of papers that finally achieves for inkjet printing what only traditional fibre-based printing was able to do in the past,” says Alex Ried, LexJet’s product manager. “The best way to describe the look and feel of the end product is an air-dried silver print. It’s something our customers have been looking for that inkjet has not been able to duplicate until now.”

Sunset Air Dried Fibre Gloss is available in various sheet sizes, from 8.5” x 11” to 17” x 22”, and comes in 24” x 50’, 36” x 50’, and 44” x 50’ rolls. It features an ultra-smooth, micro-porous glossy surface, and an acid-free base. It is brilliant white, enhancing color and tonal accuracy and gamut. It is compatible with dye- and pigment-based inks.

Applications include digital fibre prints, fine art and photographic reproduction, photo restoration, greeting cards and postcards, and presentation art graphics. The new material is backed by LexJet’s customer service, warranty, and one- to two-day UPS ground delivery anywhere in the Continental United States.
