Significant Increase in Orders Attests to Early Customer Approval of LexJet 2.0 Website

LexJet has announced the LexJet 2.0 Website, a new online customer experience redesigned from the ground up. The result of a year long survey conducted on the company’s previous site, the new website was developed in response to survey comments and other customer feedback. Featuring improved navigation, a streamlined ordering process and enhanced product search capabilities, the June 1, 2010 launch of LexJet 2.0 has generated a 100% increase in online sales for the company’s extensive line of wide-format inkjet printing equipment and digital imaging supplies. Initial customer feedback has also indicated a strong preference for LexJet’s vastly simplified $9.99 flat rate shipping policy on any order.

According to LexJet co-founder Art Lambert, the new website is the latest component in a larger initiative aimed at providing the best customer experience in the industry. “LexJet is on a mission to elevate our customer relationships at every level," says Lambert. “Besides the new website, we’ve also responded to specific requests with new printed catalogs, dozens of product innovations and an expansion of inventory in our 29 distribution centers."

Among the improvements to the LexJet 2.0 online shopping experience are features such as “Time in Transit," which informs customers how long it will take for orders to be delivered from the point of origin, plus the ability to track orders using an order number or shipping address. Customers are also able to easily access a wide range of relevant purchasing data, create multiple shopping lists and save credit card information for quick reorder. Bargains and rebates are now clearly listed.

A number of online tools created to facilitate product compatibility and performance have also been built into the site. For example, the ink compatibility tool allows buyers to match ink brands according to printer type, and color profiles for specific ink/media combinations can be downloaded at no charge.

"I will need more time to explore all of the new features and layout, but so far I really like what I see of the new website," comments photographer John Siebel. "I like the new flat-rate shipping, too!"
