Proven Plug-and-Play Ink for Less: LexJet Ink for HP 5000/5500 Printers Now Only $99

While many other manufacturers and suppliers in the wide-format printing market are raising prices and slashing service in response to the current economic downturn, LexJet is doing the exact opposite. LexJet’s most recent response to customer demands for more economical, high-quality, and environmentally-friendly products is a significant price reduction on its popular third-party plug-and-play ink for HP 5000/5500 printers.

“LexJet Ink has been a great option for us since it has allowed us to maintain the print quality and archival grade originally engineered with the HP UV Inks. What I am most pleased about is the fact the inks themselves are not a hybrid or a cheap imitation, but the real thing. You are getting the same ink quality, as well as the same durability and UV resistance. Finally, because of the decreased cost we are able to pass those savings on to our customers,” says James Theopistos of FinerWorks.com in San Antonio.

Now available at $99 per cartridge, which represents a savings per set of more than $500, LexJet UV and Dye Ink Replacement Cartridges for HP 5000/5500 printers have an identical ICC profile to HP 5000/5500 OEM inks, providing an exact color gamut and total media compatibility. There is no color shift, no conversion cost, and no downtime when swapping out inks. Using LexJet ink will not void the HP warranty or service agreement.

“Unlike typical third-party ink products, LexJet Ink for the HP 5000/5500 allows users to mix, match, and print. There’s no need to purge the lines or change your system in any way,” explains John Lane, LexJet’s vice president. “The inks have undergone extensive testing through independent labs and at LexJet to ensure the colors are right on target every time, whether you’re using a combination of HP and LexJet Ink cartridges, or just LexJet Ink. Either way, our customers get an identical match from an extremely economical and sustainable product.”

Since its introduction three years ago, LexJet Ink has been delivered to customers in remanufactured ink cartridges, and users have since recycled hundreds of thousands of cartridges through LexJet. LexJet Ink is the cornerstone of LexJet’s Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Program, which now includes all ink cartridges for printers 17 inches and wider.

"Each cartridge returned to LexJet undergoes a series of stringent procedures at our state-of-the-art recycling center. The majority of returned cartridges will be reused for the production of ink replacement cartridges," explains Lane. "If the cartridge is not reusable, LexJet will dismantle and recycle the cartridge components. In either case, LexJet's processes ensure that toxic ink and solid waste are not disposed of in landfills, and that recyclable plastics are properly accounted for and transported to recycling centers."

LexJet’s Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Program is an important component of the company’s growing list of Sustainable Solutions, which also includes a Banner Recycling Program in partnership with Trex Company, as well as a range of recyclable films and PEFC/FSC-certified papers manufactured from sustainably-managed forests.
