LexJet Recycling Programs: These programs recycle potential waste directly into consumer products. They represent the most sustainable solutions currently available as they reduce environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle.
LexJet Recyclable Media: These printable materials are recyclable at most local recycling facilities. It is important that you work in partnership with your local waste management company to determine exactly which products they can and cannot recycle.
LexJet Papers Manufactured to PEFC/FSC Specifications: PEFC certified timber and paper products are an independently verified assurance to customers that they are buying wood products originally produced from sustainably managed forests.
LexJet Recycling Programs
LexJet Banner Recycling Program
LexJet has partnered with Trex Company® to recycle banners directly into consumer products. LexJet's Banner Recycling Program allows participants to bag used banners printed on LexJet 3R DuPont Tyvek® SUV (solvent and UV-curable compatible) and mail them to Trex to be recycled into decking, railing, and fencing products. The envelopes used to mail the banners are also recycled.
LexJet’s banner recycling program makes it easy for wide-format print shops to offer their customers a completely sustainable solution that is simple, practical, and economical.
Nothing is wasted in the process since the LexJet Tyvek SUV banners are sent directly to Trex from the print shop and recycled.
This is a true life-cycle sustainability program since the banner material itself is manufactured to exacting environmental standards, is extremely lightweight, and is being sent to a viable recycling outlet for direct use in consumer products.
How does it work?
- The recycling bags are purchased for a small fee to cover shipping and handling
- The cost of the bag should be worked into the price of the finished banner(s)
- You provide your customer with the recycling bag when you deliver the banners
- Each bag should hold 10 standard-size banners rolled and folded in half
- When your customer is done with the banner, they fold it up and seal it up in the pre-addressed, pre-paid recycling bag
- Your customers drop the bags off at any UPS facility or drop box site
- The banner and the bag go directly to Trex for recycling

Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Program
LexJet's Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Program - recognized by PC magazine online as one of the 10 Ways Technology Can Make a Difference - provides the wide-format and
photographic printing communities with a free and convenient method for
returning and recycling used inkjet cartridges for any aqueous and solvent printers wider than 17 in. These cartridges will either be
reused or processed into recycled raw materials for use in new consumer
products.

LexJet's comprehensive program enables you to participate in an effort that
greatly reduces the amount of solid waste and toxic ink in our landfills.
Moreover, the program reduces the amount of limited natural resources being
used to produce new cartridges as it greatly expands the re-use and recycling
of the plastics used to manufacture the original cartridges
Each cartridge returned to LexJet's state-of-the-art recycling center undergoes
a very stringent process that guarantees the items are handled and recycled or
disposed of properly.
The majority of returned cartridges are reused for the production of ink
replacement cartridges.
In the event that a cartridge is not reusable, LexJet will undertake waste
stream procedures to ensure proper dismantling and recycling of the cartridge
components.
In either case, LexJet's processes ensure that toxic ink and solid waste are
not disposed into landfills and that recycled plastics are properly accounted
for and transported to recycling centers.
How does it work?
It's simple. All you have to do is pack up your cartridges and send them to our recycling center:

If you are currently participating in LexJet's HP 5000/5500 Inkjet Cartridge
Recycling Program, simply add any cartridge from a 17 in. or wider aqueous or solvent printer that are now
being recycled through LexJet's expanded program. These include, but are not limited to HP, Epson, Canon, Mutoh, Roland, Mimaki, and Seiko inkjet cartridges.
LexJet Recyclable Media
PET: Polyethylene Terephthalate can be recycled into fibers, tote bags, clothing, film and sheet products, food and beverage containers, carpet, strapping, fleece wear, luggage, and bottles.
PP: Polypropylene can be recycled into automobile battery cases, signal lights, battery cables, brooms, brushes, ice scrapers, oil funnels, bicycle racks, rakes, bins, pallets, sheeting, and trays.
HDPE: High Density Polyethylene can be recycled into liquid laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, motor oil bottles, pipe, buckets, crates, flower pots, garden edging, film and sheet products, recycling bins (ironically enough), benches, dog houses, plastic lumber, floor tiles, picnic tables, and fencing.
PVC: Polyvinyl Chloride can be recycled into packaging, loose-leaf binders, decking, paneling, gutters, mud flaps, film and sheet products, floor tiles and mats, resilient flooring, cassette trays, electrical boxes, cables, traffic cones, garden hose, and mobile home skirting.
