Imaging USA Presentations Focus on Business Challenges

Imaging USA

If you’re seeking strategies that can help your studio survive these troubled times, consider attending Imaging USA, Jan. 11-13 in Phoenix.  The conference schedule includes more than 15 business-focused classes, including a Business First track that offers a full day of back-to-back classes on topics such as marketing, sales, pricing, packaging, and presentation.  Here are just a few of the topics to be covered:

2008 Financial Benchmark Study Unveiled: What It Takes to Succeed:  Ann Monteith will discuss strategies that highly profitable studios use to manage their businesses in today’s chaotic environment.

It’s Your Brand: PPA CEO David Trust will outline concepts that determine whether businesses succeed or fail and make it clear that success has less to do with your photography than you might think.

The Joy of Pricing: Sarah Petty will provide insights on how to determine prices and present them to your clients. She’ll also talk about proven techniques for creating brand value, which will allow you to charge more.  In another session, Petty will talk about how selling frames with your images can give your studio a sustainable, competitive advantage.

If you travel to Phoenix a day or two early, you can attend one of several pre-convention seminars, including a new full-day class entitled The Client Experience Workflow: Connection, Capture & Post Processing. During this session on Friday, Jan. 9, Jesh de Rox and Tamara Lackey present tips for creating an amazing client experience, whether you photograph weddings, portraits, or editorial assignments.

The Anne Geddes Portfolio Review Contest, sponsored by Epson America, provides an opportunity to win a one-on-one portfolio review with legendary photographer Anne Geddes, who will be presenting the keynote speech on Monday, Jan. 12.  To enter the contest, visit www.ppmag.com.
