Custom-Brush Watermark
Using Photoshop to create quick and easy watermarks.
By Kim Herrera
Creating custom brushes is fun and useful. For this sample I used both a website address and an icon for the brush definitions in order to create a custom watermark that can be utilized quickly and easily for photos posted on the Web.
First, open your logo in Photoshop, or type your Web address in a new document. Use the magic eraser to "click away" the background and get an instant layer.

Press E on your keyboard for the eraser shortcut. |
Load the layer as a selection. (Select>Load Selection). Go to Edit>Define Brush Preset.

Type in your company name or Web address, and load the layer as a selection. |
Save and name your new brush. You can create one for your company name or website and one for your icon. You can easily use this new brush tool to create a poor man's watermark.

Define and save your new brush. |
Just press B on your keyboard for the Brush Tool. Choose 100% Normal for the opacity. Use your brushes palette to change angles, sizes, and effects. With one stroke you can now brush on your info!

Now that it's a brush, I have a useful tool that is a lot quicker for me to stamp on Web images than loading a watermark. |
