In honor of Earth Day on April 22, 2010, SGIA launched an Earth Day website and a series of online sustainability workshops. The page gives insight into SGIA's sustainability efforts, tips about how to become more sustainable, an overview of Sustainable Green Printing (SGP) certification and more.
"Sustainability has become an important topic in the SGIA community," said Marci Kinter, SGIA's Vice President of Government and Business Information. "We hope Earth Day inspires specialty imagers to access the numerous resources SGIA offers to help companies move in a more sustainable direction."
The site provides information about SGIA's new Sustainability: Zero to Certification Series, featuring 10 online workshops to help you develop a sustainability program in your company. It also lists 40 ideas to help you live sustainably both at work and at home and provides SGIA's Sustainability Quiz to test your sustainability IQ. It asks a series of questions to guarantee that your company is taking the right path to sustainable practices.
