The show will feature all forms of digital art, including photographs with obvious digital manipulation, digital painting, computer-based illustration, fractals and algorithmic imagery, digital manipulations of traditionally created art, digital montages and collages, mixed media with digital elements, digital video art, and computer animation.
The show judge is Neal Benezra, director of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He will determine which entries will be displayed in the show and choose the winners of $3,000 in cash awards, including $1,000 for first place award, $750 for second place, $500 for third place, $250 for fourth place, and five $100 honorable mention awards.
The show curator is Steven Churchill, the same digital artist/photographer who organized and promoted The 2007 Art of Photography Show, which attracted 20,000 visitors to the same venue in April and May.
There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit. Still images are $25 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry. Video entries are $45 each. Artists who have previously entered The Art of Digital Show or any Art of Photography Shows will receive a $15 discount toward entering The Art of Digital Show.
To enter, you simply fill out a short registration form, then upload your digital files. Deadline for entries is August 15. At The Art of Digital Show website, you can watch a short video and download the prospectus.
