The new Focal Points section of Epson’s Professional Imaging website lets you see how some of the world’s leading creating professionals are using Epson products.
“The first round of stories, images and videos allow viewers to experience recent exhibitions in some of the most prestigious galleries and museums in North America,” says Dan Steinhardt of Epson America’s Professional Imaging group.
For example, you can read about Timothy Greenfield-Sanders’ exhibition of movie-star portraits at the Museo Carlo Bilotti in Rome, Lynn Goldsmith’s exhibition of rock-star portraits at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor’s “Just Suppose” exhibition at the Harn Museum.
Also featured is Pete Turner’s “Empowered by Color” exhibition at the George Eastman House.
The story about the “Just Suppose” exhibition describes how a 64-in. Epson Stylus Pro 11880 was used to create the largest Jerry Uelsmann print ever. Uelsmann, who is known for the superb quality of his 16 x 20-in. silver gelatin prints, wasn’t completely sure what he’d end up with when one of his original darkroom creations was digitally scanned and transformed into a towering 60 x 90-in. print. But when he saw the results, Uelsmann commented, "I'm very excited about the scale that can be produced with Epson inkjet prints, and I think the quality is amazing."
