Anne Geddes, whose captivating images of babies have been published in 83 counties and featured in books that have sold more than 18 million copies, will be the keynote speaker at Imaging USA, Jan. 11-13, 2009 at the Phoenix Convention Center.
In a presentation sponsored by Epson, Geddes will describe some of the emotions and attitudes that have shaped her life and creative drive. She’ll talk about how she first discovered that photography was her calling and share behind-the-scene stories about some of the images that have made her so famous.
Geddes will address Imaging USA attendees on the evening of Monday, Jan. 12. A full day of “Business First” classes will cover topics such as customer relations, costs of sales, and selling techniques. Other educational tracks will focus on various photographic specialties and Adobe Photoshop.
The event also features a 600-booth exposition and a public exhibition of more than 2,600 of the best images from photography pros throughout the U.S.
Imaging USA began in 1884 as the annual convention and trade-show for Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and is the longest running photographic convention, expo, and image exhibition in the US. In recent years, Imaging USA has been presented by an alliance of PPA, the Society of Sport and Event Photographers (SEP), Commercial Photographers International (CPI), and Evidence Photographers International Council (EPIC).
