To celebrate its 425th anniversary, Hahnemuhle is inviting amateur and professional photographers from all over the world to enter the Hahnemuhle Anniversary Photo Award competition. The theme of the competition is For Originals, and judges will be looking for images of people, objects, and moments captured from an original perspective.
Each entrant can submit up to four pictures. Each picture must be printed on Hahnemuhle FineArt paper in an 8.5 x 11 in. format and submitted by mail along with the completed entry form. The deadline for entries is June 30, 2009.
The top winners will each receive vouchers that can be redeemed for Hahnemuhle products worth €3,000 (which can be more than $3,000, depending on the daily exchange rate). Second and third prize winners will receive vouchers worth €2,000 and €1,000.
A total of 16 prizes will be given, including three general Hahnemuhle Anniversary Photo Awards and three awards for best entries in three categories: People and Portrait; Landscape and Nature; and Architecture and Still Life. Four prizes will be given to student photographers.
The 40 best images will be selected for the Hahnemuhle Anniversary Collection which will be exhibited in cities in Europe, the U.S., and Asia. Click here for the entry requirements and here for the entry form.
