Nik Announces Sharpener Pro 3.0 Update for Lightroom 2
Nik Software has announced that Sharpener Pro 3.0 is now available for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.3 and higher. The update is available free to current owners of Sharpener 3.0. Once installed, Sharpener 3.0 is accessible via the Lightroom Photo>Edit In menu. Edits made using the plug-in within Lightroom are non-destructive, with edits applied automatically to a newly generated TIFF and not the original.

Sharpener Pro 3.0 eliminates some of the guesswork associated with achieving superior results. Nik’s U Point technology makes to possible to selectively sharpen objects within images. And the output controls make it possible to create perfectly sharpened images for different types of displays and printing devices and media.

The software’s soft-proof function allows detailed inspection of sharpening results on screen before printing.

Sharpener Pro 3.0 has a suggested retail price of $199.95, with upgrades from previous versions available for $99.95.
