LexJet’s new 10-mil Gloss Opaque Display Film for aqueous printers was developed in response to LexJet customers who requested an easy-to-handle, instant-dry, glossy display film that could be paired with an equally sturdy 10-mil laminating film such as LexJet ExhibitGuard or DisplayFlex to create graphics that are guaranteed not to fail. The film also meets customer requests for a glossy display film that is compatible with UV-curable inks.

When the 10-mil Gloss Opaque Display Film is used with either a 10-mil LexJet Exhibit Guard or DisplayFlex laminating film, LexJet provides a Lifetime Warranty guaranteeing that the graphics will not split, tear, or delaminate regardless of how many times the graphics are shipped, unpacked, installed, repacked, and shipped again.

Like its 6.5-mil counterpart, the new 10-mil Gloss Opaque Display Film is a bright-white, high-gloss, DuPont Melinex® polyester film with a light-blocking layer. This glossy display film is ideal for printing a wide range of POP, retail, and museum display graphics as well as prints for photo competitions. The high-gloss finish of this film reproduces brilliant colors and crisp details, with a look that resembles a Cibachrome.

The film is rigid enough to remain flat in banner stands, and because it is 100% opaque, it keeps banner-stand support hardware from showing through when the graphic is mounted in a free-standing display.

LexJet 10-mil Gloss Opaque Display Film can be used with either pressure-sensitive or thermal laminating films, but lamination isn’t required if the print is intended for short-term displays such as banner stands. An extra-white graphics surface can be achieved when a PreLume® laminating film is applied.
