At SGIA, HumanEyes announced a LensFree Lightbox system that enables users of HumanEyes software to provide marketers and agencies with high-quality 3D images from any high resolution inkjet printer, digital press, photographic printer, or offset press without the need for expensive lenticular lenses.

The system features a patented automatic registration system and a patented lenticular “screen” that can be integrated into any lightbox. Existing lightboxes can be custom retrofitted to accommodate the 3D files printed on backlit film. Once the lightbox has been retrofitted, marketers and outdoor-media companies can interchange conventionally output graphics in the 3D-enabled lightbox.

The automatic registration system reduces production time and eliminates the need for precise pitch testing. Plus, the system shortens the learning curve for new producers of 3D graphics.

Jeff Miller, director of sales for HumanEyes in North America, believes the LensFree Lightbox System will make 3D marketing more affordable for the broader marketplace. He notes that “With the LensFree Lightbox system, HumanEyes provides your production team with a brief training webinar and you only pay for the 3D LensFree capability once.”
