Each time you load a new type of media on your Epson Stylus Pro GS6000, you must set up a new paper configuration. A paper configuration is the group of print settings (e.g. print mode, pre heater, platen heater, post heater, drying time, etc.) that will give you the best print quality for that particular type of media.
After you have set up the paper configuration, you must assign a number to that configuration, and enter that number each time you print on that media.
A good way to keep track of which number has been assigned to which paper configuration is to set up a log sheet and keep it mounted on the side of the printer. You can create your own log sheet (with up to 30 numbers) or use the form on page 26 of the Quick Reference Guide supplied with your printer (shown below).
