Check out the new blog that has been added to the SGIA website.  “With the economic challenges forecasted for the coming year, specialty imagers need to be connected to industry developments more than ever,” said SGIA president/CEO Michael Robertson. “The SGIA blog helps imagers stay current on new trends by gaining the latest insight and opinions. It also allows them to voice their ideas and opinions.”  Industry experts contributing to the blog will discuss topics that affect day-to-day operations—from labor concerns to corporate sustainability.

In a post entitled We Can Always Use More Work, Robertson reports that he has been touching base with SGIA members in recent weeks to see how they’re faring in today’s difficult economy. He reports that “while none of the imagers I spoke with are as busy as they would like to be (that never happens), most are reasonably busy. I was pleased to hear it, considering what we read in the newspapers.”

After summarizing some of the comments, Robertson notes that “all of the imagers I spoke with are concerned about the first quarter of 2009.” SGIA has also created a group on LinkedIn.com, one of the largest professional networking sites on the Internet.
